That's a pretty shitty example of a battlejacket to be honest. I'd never be caught dead wearing one personally but I go to a lot of metal gigs/festivals and the best ones are where the owner has put real care and effort in over the years, not just haphazardly slapped the same few market stall patches you see everywhere. The best ones usually have an overall theme or stick to one genre, I love seeing thrash metal jackets/vests where it's more than just the same Big Four shit everyone else has.

I think the howl one's a bit overlarge and text-heavy, maybe if you trimmed it to the title or at least just the white
imo good patched jackets need to be visually clean and cohesive with what they're on, and idk how you could pull that off on an indigo vest with that color scheme/visual complexity

>> No.10431976

You fucked it up anyways, if you want to make a t-shirt into a patch you need to cut an extra wide border around it. That way you can fold it under to reinforce it and give it a clean edge to sew through.

Literally typing "how to screenprint" into google will solve more questions than asking an imageboard.

Anyway:
>>10438188
Making patches for yourself can go to ways:

>Embroidery
You can teach yourself to do embroidery. That way you can do all the colours you want as long as you're skillfull enough and have the right thread colors.

>Screenprinting
Screenprinting is easy, anybody can do it once they have the right materials. It's best to just google "DIY Screenprinting" for the full explanation. You can do several colors but, as you said, you'll have to make several screens to layer your prints. That's why most screenprinted shirts are limited to 1, 2 or 3 colors.
Buy a roll of sturdy fabric, make a screen and start printing.

Alternatively, you can start making your own patches through stencils. Get an image you like, make it into a stencil and paint it onto a piece of sturdy cloth. It'll look ratty and "punk" but that's part of the appeal.

All of the above is very short and will require more reearch if you're actually interested. Like I said, google is your best friend for this type of stuff.

Personally, I've printed several patches with just a stencil, an old pictureframe and fly mesh as the screen. Just printed it all on pieces of old black jeans.
