I've never been concerned about any kind of balding / receding hairline before, but you guys have made me paranoid.

I just buzzed about a week ago, just so I could look at my hairline directly. What do you think? Am I in trouble? I'm 20. It's really thick.

I haven't cut my fairly fine wavy hair since it was basically buzzed (it was a bit longer on top) and I want to grow it out long but it tends to get kinda poofy. To get this kind of hair (left) do I just need to get it thinned out or cut in some way? (Obviously i have to grow it more and use products). Or will it kinda just fall flatter once its longer and a bit more oily?

What is it that hairdressers are doing when they blowdry which doesnt leave my hair frizzing?

Whenever I blow dry my hair, it doesnt matter how much time I spend blowing with the brush, it ends up way more frizzy than any hairdresser I use has achieved.

go to someone reputable. Ask around, look online for someone who is well liked/reviewed, and preferably has a good price range. salons generally are better for newer styles but i know of plenty of barbershops where all the guys know their shit.

I've had a buzz cut since 2009 because I can do it myself and I'm too lazy to go and have someone cut my hair and having instantly dry hair after getting out of the shower is nice.

I think I'm going to grow it out and try to give myself an Elliot.
