It's gonna be more minimalist you fucks. More monotone you might say due to the impact technology has on culture (music, art, theatre, television, fashion, architecture, etc.).

That's one of our options at least.

This might be combined with styles that have already existed the same way fashion works today (converse, leather jackets, Hitler Youth, hipster beards, Dr. Martens, etc.)

And then there's ofc this option >>10377283.

full body elastic suits. As people are caring more and more about cheapness and less and less about aesthetics (i.e. how every person wears cheap plastic shoes and cheap jeans and lives in a shitty plastic-sided house because they dont care how they look they just care about comfort and cheapness) everyone will just wear plain fullbody clothes made with the cheapest materials they can use without it falling apart.

I have that belt. It's dope, but kinda too large to work with a lot of stuff.

I predict that the future of fashion will continue trending toward a more global look that takes inspiration from many sources including but not limited to historical dress, native/tribal costume, and technology.

Clean looks drawing from the minimalist aesthetics of designers like Helmut Lang will continue to be seen, but will find counterpoints in the ever-present branding of luxury fashion houses like Moschino and Gucci.

Boundaries between gender specific clothing will continue to disintegrate, leading to a more unisex look or at least the acceptance of feminine styles for men.

These trends are already exemplified by collections like Julius ss16, which relies heavily on natural materials and robe-like drapes, and the oversized menswear looks of Acne and Christopher Lemaire, which downplay the masculine form in favor of a larger uniform silhouette.

Pic related is Balmain ss16, which featured drapey wrap tops typically seen in womenswear lines paired with strappy Helmut inspired bottoms all in neutral colors, which gives of a clean futuristic vibe.

Minimalism is an incredibly new concept. Rich patterns is what was used throughout history for a long time up until the 2048th century where minimalism and modernism was introduced into modern culture. I believe this trend will continue even more down the road but with technology having an even greater impact, which gives us an idea of what "future fashion" might be.

I can imagine your perspective becoming a reality too.

You seem incredibly misguided.

Minimalism has always existed. Every point has a counterpoint. For every richly clothed king there were many minimally clothed peasants. You also appear to be taking a very Westernized perspective of history and values.

The Japanese, for instance, have long valued simplicity and natural forms. Traditional Japanese minka (farmhouses) are paragons of minimalism in architecture. Form follows function and functional elements are usually the most simple.

>> No.10377561

>>10377538
and then you have modern architects making concrete versions of these houses and charging millions for the plans, recycled ideas. Good ideas though. I love their balance of form, the japanese have it figured out, except for all the whale hunting

i can only hope in the future (like in 5-10 years) things will still be roughly conventional, but that experimental silhouettes and fits will become more common. pic mildly related

>> No.10377636

>>10377538
Yeah I was looking at it from a western perspective.
The peasants didn't go for minimalism as a style. They were broke as fuck and had no other choice. Very expensive clothing items of today can have a focus on minimalism as a style in itself. This applies to architecture as well. This whole concept of modernism/minimalism as an art wasn't really explored until the 20th century.

Now from a global perspective I see what you mean, but I wouldn't refer to what I said as misguided information.

>> No.10377652

>>10377538
One thing. Roman times and ancient Greece had, what I would call, a minimalist style to both fashion and architecture. Also among the upper class. I can imagine clothing even all the way back to those times can cause inspiration to future fashion.

and that is a 550 Euro Adidas jacket you are looking at, a bit crazy when you think about it being Chinese made adidas clothing, but I still want it and will cop.
