I have a ~1,300 square foot top floor condominium.

I'd say it's nice but not terribly expensive, kinda like my clothing in general. The property itself is ~now~ fucking expensive and appreciating like mad (which makes me super happy, I bought right before some major nearby development), but the furniture is simple and modern and the aesthetic clean. It's kinda in need of some art (almost completely blank walls), but it's not offensively designed. I've been made fun of on here for not knowing what the fuck to do with my home office - it's still an empty cave.

Fun fact: I've already had to re-do a bunch of shit the prior owner fucked up. Had to re-thread some shower pipes, re-paint a large portion of the place, put up marble backsplash tile in the kitchen, etc. Goddamn ingrate was playing retarded Bob Villa or something before he sold the place to me, apparently.

I don't really think there is any way I can make my dwelling in my parent's garage/basement hybrid look good at all. The walls are very thin and even some of you hungry skeletons would have no problem breaking through them
I'll be cleaning up the best I can this weekend but I doubt it'll look much better. Hopefully it'll smell a little better though, I have to keep this dehumidifer on most of the day so it doesn't mold.

I have a "gamer PC" because I do heavy photo and video editing and built a machine for that, and this was a good case which was reasonably priced and is easy to haul around when I need to, plus it goes well with the color scheme of the room.

Hate to admit it, but they're airshit. My friend runs an airsoft youtube channel and sent these to me to do review videos with. (He does the narration and gameplay gopro footage, I do the closeups and "glamour shots" and some of the editing, because I have pro video equipment and a big yard with good filming locations.)

I have pictures of race cars because I used to make my living as an automotive journalist, before moving into a PR position with a company that makes racing parts for BMWs and Porsches and which has its own race car. I had a bunch of prints of my old work and my walls were bare. Also, that was the wall above my desk until last night.

I own a fake steering wheel because I use racing games to learn new tracks before our team goes to them, and because I can't afford to go race my real car every weekend.

I'm not even close to a virgin. I lived with my last girlfriend for almost five years before getting sick of her shit and dumping her.

Well-adjusted people also have hobbies, anime and video games just happen to be a couple of mine. I spend just as much time socializing, going to parties, drinking with friends, and whatever else as any other late 20s guy, why does it matter what I do on weeknights or lazy sundays?

Thanks! I've actually been in the art market for some time, though I have yet to find anything to my liking yet. The art shows here in D.C. has been ABYSMAL - and the stuff that I've liked has been unfortunately not the kinda stuff that'd go well with my theme. Sadly the artists who I've met who I liked the most end up not being the "hang it on your wall" type, which is totally valid.

Definitely not gonna do Ikea art. Given the blue color theme, I may end up trying to leverage some contacts and get some old genuine blueprints from some old/defunct tech companies - not gonna be a focal point of the place, but would (1) be rare and one-of-a-kind and (2) match my job somewhat.

I'd love to repaint to something better, but I don't plan on being here much longer and painting would be a nightmare with having to figure out how to get everything away from the walls and finding somewhere to stay and put all of my stuff for a few days while I did it. I redid the bathroom floor with decent fake wood laminate when I moved in, and I'd love to continue that into the rest of the room, but again it'd be a bitch to do. Ugh, believe me, I'd love to do better with the place. As I said before, this is relatively temporary, and pretty much nothing is coming with me when I get a new place. Cheap and functional are definitely the watchwords here, and it doesn't help that much of the furniture "belongs" to the room and isn't actually mine, including the desk, bed, and a big shelving unit that's out of frame in the photos.

The bedding is actually pretty new and decently nice, it just looks god-awful in the photos because light reflects off of the stupid green walls and gives everything a sickly tint.

I wish I had photos of my old apartment, which, if not the height of interior design, was at least cohesive and uncluttered.

Actually, what wall color do you guys think would work well with my furniture? I feel like my "battlestation" is effay though.
