I thought the whole point of CPs were to not have personality. By being as basic as possible, CPs play the role that they do.

I think it's okay, but how is this going to work in a fit? Python suggests that LV/Gucci type of richness, while the rest of the shoe is like a CP Achilles. If you can make it work in a fit, it might be fine, but otherwise, the designs of the shoe go in two different directions, and a normal pair of CPs may have been better. But who knows? I think it's just really up to you to pull this off well.
