I dont mind the criticism, especially since I know that trousers were cropped too high. But I thought besides that flaw it was a pretty good fit. Opinion? Should my pants not be that tight, because I honestly like them that way, they give me a more slimming look.

crop the trousers lower and don't taper as heavily.

in your pic, the trousers are two or so inches too high and hug your calf. the whole point of cropping them is to give a looser calf fit to contrast either the tightness of your socks or silhouette of your shoes
