Lamb I think(I'm not 100% positive on this) might be to soft for shoes. That's why it's usedmore commonly in garments.

As for pig leather it is hardly ever used in high end sneakers because its viewed as a cheap leather compared to calf or other alternatives. To answer your question though, I'm pretty sure he has used both in shoes before. Pig leather geos and shearling ramones.

They have two different versions of the lambskin - the lambskin version that isn't made with the underbelly leather was just sold as lambskin geos and were only done with geos. The shearling ones from the underbelly were done for just about everything.

Pigskin was only for the 2006 Dunks because it was cheap leather.

Fashion is like anything, you should behave in accordance to your own tastes. I think Rick's clothing is beautiful, and that's why I buy and wear it.

The only intention Rick has is for you to like his things and wear them. If you don't like it, fine.

If you don't understand it, maybe that's on you. I like how you are so quick to shrink an idea like art appreciation into "2deep4u". Why like anything? Are you supposed to just have a passing interest in things? Are we going to ignore that digging deep into any area of fine art is very rewarding, or that it alters your perception? Rick is the kind of designer that takes the history of clothing and fashion into consideration with his designs, as well as a sort of prediction of where it can, or should, go. If you are used to just fast fashion jeans and t-shirts everywhere, I can see how it would be jarring, but to me it looks very natural, it has a timeless quality and a very modern feeling to it.

I'm not going to listen to the radio all the time just so I can know all the music everyone talks about, I'm going to listen to shit I love to listen to even if I can't talk to most people about it. They are objectively the least sought after because they didn't not sell. Nobody wanted them. Most stores didn't even buy them and even then they still didn't sell well so not only are there less of them in circulation but they are easier to find because nobody wants them. Look at an Intarsia from Crust and a current Intarsia side by side. Try them on, and you'll notice that the sizing is different. He uses tailored sizing now... Except he doesn't make a 44 (XS) because his 46 (Small) fits like an XS. The older leathers use sizing XS, Small, Medium, et cetera. A Crust or older intarsia in an XS fits just like a 46 does now.
I mean fuck even on the rickowens.eu size guide it says his 46 is an XS.

I've been waiting for low ramones in size 40 to pop up on Grailed, or anywhere online really, when I saw these island dunks. They're blistered leather which is pretty awesome, and I tried some on at Barneys a few months back and they're really easy to wear with skinny jeans, or anything really.
