Just running, right now I am at about 55miles a week average. Just fit in the miles where you can. I am training for a marathon right now but I started with just making sure I did 1 mile everyday at least, even break days I at least walked a mile and still try too. This keeps you motivated and you wont fall behind mentally. Then just build your miles up slowly with your long runs on the weekend some trails here and there and some speed days. With a break day.

If you want to gain weight you have to eat calorie dense foods, get lots of protein, and also do HEAVY COMPOUND LIFTING.

If you eat more and don't lift your body has no reason to turn that into lean muscle mass and all of it will turn to fat stored around your midsection. The less you weigh the easier it is to put on lean body mass though so you should be alright.

Coming from former skellyfag (116lb -> 145lb), it doesn't happen overnight, and milk is your best friend.

Used to be 243lbs 3 years ago, am 165 now.

I've been going to the gym for the past months now while eating 1500-1800 kcals a day. Haven't seen any progress, or lost any weight while doing it. Have been upping my kcals to 2500 a day now and I feel much better, lost more weight, and my body just feels tighter.

Please take it from a guy who starved himself, you won't get a nice physique out if it. Even when I look at my picture it still feels like I am fat. Don't starve, just train a lot (especially cardio). Learn from my mistakes and you'll get a nice fit body without the extra years. I still have a lot of work to do, but we'll all make it.

Purging isn't that effective mate. You body starts digesting carbs as soon as it hits your mouth, and most of everything else is digested pretty fast. Purging won't reduce your caloric intake enough to outweigh the negatives. And because the remains of the food are no longer in your stomach, you'll feel hungry faster.
