Hey /fa/ new thread on clothes that you've made yourself and techniques on how you made them, also post custom clothing inspo

I only ever like to seam rip the hem off of the collar, sleeves, and bottom of basic t shirt or make pants I don't like into shorts that I will like.

I altered these pants as a proof of concept, The next time though I want to do it with skinnier black jeans, but atm I don't have a pair. I'll probably stop by a thrift store and taper them, but the by me never has good black jeans in my waist size.

with the popularity of distressed clothing articles I see that DIY is probably the best place to get interesting pieces. Birthday and his sleeveless sweater comes to mind as well as practically all of dada's fits

main inspiration I get is from blackmeans I would say. They seem to not really give a fuck, but try to push the boundaries and you can tell they put their heart into it

pro tip. slice the hem off completely otherwise it may roll up like mine.

I think for not exactly knowing what I was doing it still looks decent.

Hopefully If I sand paper it some more and wear it more it should fray better.

I would use a combination of poking through the fabric and ripping holes and slicing lines to make it fray differently as well

pro tip. slice the hem off completely otherwise it may roll up like mine.

I think for not exactly knowing what I was doing it still looks decent.

Hopefully If I sand paper it some more and wear it more it should fray better.

Tried to replicate them with a friend, and it ended out pretty well. As for the toebox, it's not that big of a problem actually.

My friend have them right now, so won't be able to. I'll be visiting him next week, so I'll probably post them in a DIY-thread in a week or so.

I thought about doing that, but I feel I would burn out of the interest if I did it 100% of the time. I'm definitely going to keep it as a hobby though.

I'm not too in to the joke and I think more realistic looking cat is nicer, granted that was one of my inspirations for this. Pic related was bigger one, though I wanted to do this on a tee. Also the amount of detail on these probably means they are handmade and embroidered straight to the shirt. I don't know if you can even buy these anywhere but I'm guessing they would be hella expensive as well.
mad cool though

I have a polyester ski jacket I want to dye, but I don't have all the tools internet tutorials told me I need. So, has anybody ever dyed polyester? Do you think I could use a brush and acrylic paint or something?

Specific dye for polyester exist, but it's very hard to dye and also very expensive, if I remember correctly.
