Hey /fa/, do you have any unusual/different inspo that helps you visualize and grasp your style better? Not literally, but conceptually.

Share your weird inspo. I'll start.
Pic related: Pokemon Trainers -- they always look comfy as fuck, and their layers are 10/10. I've always admired their attire since I was a kid.

Does this have to be clothing specifically or can it be any 'aesthetic' image that we enjoy?

I specifically like this image, and other images that show stark contrast, because I enjoy both the quiet, rural countryside with slowly, calmly growing plants, and being surrounded by nature, and the concept of a sprawling metropolis flooded with an infinitely large number of different personal philosophies, and thought processes. Further, the city being large and imposing shows what the minds of humans are able to imagine and bring into physical form now; what could we bring into the flesh in 100 years?

Simultaneously, it highlights a need for the contrast and the need for the quiet rural places that plenty of people are cut off from nowadays. Rural Japan as well as plains in my home country notably slow my heart rate and make me feel better with their unconcealed, simple 'niceness'. I avoid the word 'beauty' because it doesn't really fit them; simple Rural Japan as well as open pastures are just warm and comfy because they hold no malicious intent or sinister mysteries.

Not OP, but I don't think landscape photos count as inspo.

Still, if you have fits that are inspired by those photos, and they're good, it might be helpful to post them on the thread.

Anything kind of image can be inspo, honestly.
It's actually very intriguing, because I really like the outlook in your post, and I have thought of this before, in a strikingly similar manner.

There's a certain 'effortlessness' and spontaneity when it comes to representations or outfits (if you want to be dynamically relevant) associated with this idea. The existence of the setting is what speaks for itself, everything that's going on within it. I've always admired the reality of what people are able to visualize or create and the beliefs or philosophies between each of them. Everyone has what fulfills them; there's something admirable about this aspect of individuality (and life) that is hard to put my finger on.

tl;dr: comfy af

I feel your pain. A pair of Doc Martens are my most expensive item. My bureau is filled with cozy and tacky sweaters (some button up, some not), worn out denim jeans, and knee-high socks.

Thank god for palewave/slackercore for making poverty cool again.

There's shouldn't be any pain, my man.
I mean honestly, this board shouldn't be taken seriously to that extent.
There's more than sufficient evidence in WAYWT threads that money can't buy you good looks or a style; go check it out for yourself (beware).

I only come here to sort of browse around and see the different styles and pieces people are talking about or wearing. It's only recently that I've started to purchase more expensive pieces only on the basis of pure quality.

bagworms are larvae that make sleeping bags of silk and drag themselves around, gluing shit all over it, before they seal it and turn into a moth

caddisfly are underwater larvae that do the same, but with sand/tiny pebbles/whatever is in their environment, before crawling out of the water and attaching themselves to rocks to coccoon into moths
