I'm male and I have the same problem, I'm 21 and I wear hoodies I bought when I was 15

Ok OP so start by building another wardrobe instead of chucking the one you have away (you never realise what you can salvage unless you're experienced). This means getting a few essential things you can mix and match. For instance for outerwear you'll probably need green parka, a leather jacket (honestly its going to be an expensive buy so stick to black/brown), a denim jacket, a good wool coat. Etc. Try making a list like that for tops and bottoms and remember skirts and dresses OP they are seriously under rated for being summer fa which is borderline impossible without melting otherwise.
Look around too, I like the way jenn im does things but try taking inspiration from everything- from blogs, the people around you, right down to movies and all. Choose what you like but do it carefully. Build up your wardrobe slowly but invest in good quality pieces. Oh and word of adivce. Invest in good quality skin and hair care and a good hair cut but dont worry about make up and hairstyles yet, thats much later on.

Probably go look at a fast fashion company like H&M/Uniqlo/Zara and see what you like. Even if turns out to not be a good purchase/goes out of style the clothes are pretty cheap so w/e

What do you enjoy wearing now OP?

Dresses, jeans and tee, hoodie and joggers?
Look at what in your current wardrobe you wear most and see what can be kept and updated and what just looks unsalvagably young. (A plain dress in a classic silhouette can be adapted but a forever21 spaghetti strap large diamanté floral dress probably can't). Don't throw things out yet until you have replacements, but put them to one side so you can see what you're left mostly to work with.

After seeing what you like wearing most try making a Pinterest reference board by searching for things related to what you like most (eg maybe striped tee or loose trousers) and see what appeals to you, and what you think looks adult and pin it. Keep that up until you have a nice little bank of images to draw on.

Note things like shoes and accessories from the images because often the smaller details are what makes a big difference and make a good, adult pair of shoes or boots your first purchase.

Next take notes of any items that repeat in your inspo boards that seem to be staples, eg navy trousers or a cut of cardigan etc and make a list of what you need to make your first big purchases.
Also make a note of any store names that pop up in your inspo board or use stores you trust already and start looking for items off your list there. Try to go for quality over quantity.

Once you have your basics down then start embellishing with accessories you noted previously or other items that mesh well with your style.
