Hi. I'm looking for some effay combat boots. I really have no idea where to start, but I've been looking at these Dr. Martens Piers in the pic related.

I've also been looking at the Dr. Martens 1460/1490 boots.

I have piers. good basic starting boot. I've had mine for daily wear in the winter for a year and a half or so and they haven't really even needed much care. plus care kit is an easy fix for scuffs on the leather. they aren't perfect and can be a little heavy and clunky, but I had to size up due to being between sizes. I got mine for $89 if I remember and they were a deal. for the typical $150, I'd give them a 7/10 for the price. They're nice, but I probably wouldn't have gotten them if they weren't on sale.

I've got a pair of 1460s and I love them. Those pier boots look pretty nice too, though. Might be nice to have a pair that's a little less common than the 1460/90s.

I own pic related. They're not too bad, good if you're a poorfag, just get good insoles or they will murder your feet. Also they weigh 5 1/2 pounds each, so get used to that.

Like I said, decent looking for poorfag budget, you can get them on Swiss Link for like $25

Dont! Bought the exact same pair off aliexpress, its the worst thing i've ever ordered on the internet.
The material is unbelievably low quality, its like paper, literally garbage! I dont even have expectations, im a poorfag from eastern eu, h&m and zara are totally acceptable quality for me.

thanks mate, I appreciate the help
unfortunately australia doesn't have a zara and our H&M doesn't stock any rugged boots
I guess I'll just have to snoop around a bit more for a cheap pair

I have UK10 1460/61's and have wide feet, the highs are v comfy and fit well, blisters on my heel after years of wear but thats cause I want that tight silhouette. 1461's are narrower and are pretty tight on my feet.

I got mine TTS and they fit fine. The only thing is that the stitching on the inside that connects the tounge to the upper can stick out and become painful. So I have to pull the tounge out and press the little flap of leather so it isn't digging into the top of my foot
