You can also try a glass of warm honey (1-3 spoonfulls). Honey changes taste depending on the flowers bees use to make it. Depending on where you live you can get honey made from the pollen of wildflowers, cranberries, blueberries, sage, and even more. Check local farms or just order it online.

Also, fill a small milk pan with some water, add one sliced lemon and boil it for about 5 minutes until the lemon is really starting to infuse into the water. Then add three or so big tablespoons of honey, might need to taste it to make sure it's not too sweet or lemony bitter and get it right. Let it gently simmer for like 5 more minutes then pour some into a mug. It's really sweet and a bit bitter at the same time, I drink it when I have a bad cold.
