there's a lot of nostalgia surrounding bape for me. it's pretty timeless, at least the old stuff is /was. golden age of japanese streetwear. one of the originators of the whole "multiple colorways of the same item" collecting hype.

they had some solid designs, a handful of instantly recognizable branding motifs, and a consistent theme/ feel to most of the pieces. a lot of their items are a little too flashy/bright for people these days but bape will stick around only because you can stick ape camo on literally everything and have it look sick af
