Yes; for the CB cases, the vertical bevel was there, and there's speculation that this was left 'unfinished' and not actually intended. Naturally, intact and sharp bevels have become more desired by collectors.

I agree with you about the new 3861 incorporating design elements (short fat pushers, stepped dial, applied logo); I'm just sorry that the drop second hand is out of proportion (and it's similarly out of proportion on the 321 remake Ed White).

There are lots of possibilities used. You could even get a beautiful vintage Omega Pie Pan for that money. Go on Chrono24 and do a price-search and just see what is available. In terms of style, you haven't narrowed it down much...so there are lots of options. Given that I got my Omega divers for less, those are great starting options.
