Remember especially how certain certain textures and saturations clash. You have this problem in other photos, it's just very apparent today because it's so neatly separated into two halves. The BW belt would be even better if it were brown, the buckle is a lot better though because it's warmer in colour. Remember how badly the black / silver colour scheme of your other belt clashed.
Some homework: Read up on the golden ratio, on textile textures and on basic colour theory again, complementary contrasts and such. You're especially troubled by saturation, I think.

Sure, just ignore the guy who keeps saying "just stick with one military piece per fit", he's not from around here. There are of course many ways you could style these sorts of clothes, and there anren't enough women that do. You could go for a vintage pin-up look with the more offficial dress uniforms that are floating around, the classic industrial/hippie alternative cutie look with green parka / field shirt and laced black boots, but my favourite and the one I see most seldom is the utilitarian Kim Possible look with cargo trousers and a simple functional turtleneck shirt. You'll have to be pretty fit for that though. You could also go for the traditional Scandi comfycore look with thick wool sweaters and wool pants, I always thought the Norwegian army sweater would look good on a woman. Varusteleka has a "lot" of women's surplus but you'd probably best try to integrate males' clothes as well, since there is just more, better quality stuff. Just be creative with the resources you have, that's essentially what these threads are about.

Those boots are and slick and narrow and small as fuck. Have you seen other military issue boots? The puttees would be fine if there were dyed and wrapped correctly, no need to break a sweat over looking anachronistic as long as it's in line with aesthetic laws, and the belt problem is the way it is framed, not the belt itself.
