No the plastic shroud isn't soulful like a nice acrylic crystal. It's just cheap shit because they think if they fully specced out the arnie people wouldn't buy the marine master tuna. Same situation with the solar tuna.
Seiko and Swatch are absolute cunts about this. Tissot and Hamilton are shit on purpose because if they made a nice watch there would be no reason to go up to Omega etc.

I've had all three for a bit over a year now, no complaints. They've held up fine to daily wear, swimming etc
One of them had slightly loose shroud screws when it first arrived but I tightened them and haven't had any issues since.
Build is very comparable to the base tuna that I briefly owned in 2016.
