You probably need solar quartz/or new kinetic if you want reliability like seiko kinetic, I highly doubt any mechanical watch will last for so long (you mentioned that your seiko lasted you more then decade) without service.
Citizen makes plenty solar watches in titanium and sapphire.
btw can you post how bad titanium scratched up on your watch?
