I don't believe it's -that easy-
I haven't eaten in 4 days due to the flu, and have no noticeable changes at all...sadly
I think there are just certain faces which won't get defined cheekbones. I very rarely see defined cheekbones on rounder faces, like my own

additionally I only drink water, because soda and such are known to make the face look bloated...
