someone help with this, I'm going to take the pic into my barber but he tends to end up doing his own thing unless I keep reminding him.

Does it look like the guy's back and sides have been clipped then grown out a bit? or just scissored really close in? also what product would you say he uses, I can never get all of my hair to stay back for long?
