There's nothing wron with being young and finding new interests. People aren't "born into it", they actively seek it out because it speaks to them. At least with most younger neofolk people I know that's the case. The only people who grew into it naturally were oldschool goths in the 1980s. Myself, I was meditating a lot in my teenage years and was looking for music to better fit the worldview that came with it. Death In June was the first band I discovered, I loved Doug's lyrics and the aesthetic for their amoral character and timelessness, and the cyclic inegalitarian worldview they proposed. Introduction To Magic is not for everyone because it is exactly what it says. It won't necessarily make you a magician but it might fuck you up a bit and change the way you think, if you take it seriously.

I don't know, man. Most of the people I know who are involved in the leadership of patriotic counterculture at least in German speaking countries were/are strongly influenced by neofolk. It's not as trivial as you think.
