You dont necessarily have to be good at drawing to do fashion design. You will learn everything you need to learn in school (including sewing). You will learn how to do fashion illustration, and while you do them you will become at least decent at doing the kind of drawing you would need to do. Its a little different from typical drawing. All you REALLY need, though, is to be able to do flats. Which dont take real drawing skill, only time and patience.

You dont necessarily have to prepare anything beyond obvious artistic/design ability in the form of a portfolio; though I would recommend learning adobe illustrator and photoshop in advance.
