It is real nice to be honest, certainly a unique dial. If I were to drop around that much on a watch though I'd probably lean more towards the chronometre bleu.

Why not just make a multi part dial then? The sub seconds dial on a chronometre bleu is a separate piece, for example.

Depends on which patek & JLC are in question. That said if I had choice from any of the top tier makers, I'd either pick a lange 1815 chrono or an fp journe chronometre bleu. The former's movement is absolutely gorgeous, same with the latter along with that unique blue dial & tantalum case.
