Fold up to the desired height, then pin through the fabric. Turn the pants inside out and repin from the inside (so the pins heads are on the inside-out of hte pant). Sew along the upper seam. Cut excess off. Finito. That's a lazy man's method but it'll work nice and good for ya :v)

Just made this a short sleeved shirt, added extra slits at the back (because of a rip) and added the floral bits yesterday. Pic with the new board + shoes (with white laces) :)
