If anything, I think I read that people feel like they toned down the peppery/slightly challenging aspect of it and kept the more accessible parts of it. This is precisely why I'm going to be buying a 100 mL bottle of Dior Homme 2020 soon as well. It is inevitable that fragrances get reformulated and the first formulation is always going to be the truest to the perfumer's vision.
