do you guys use shoe trees for boots? i have some spring loaded trees like these for my chelseas. i've just been pushing them in so the toe box is relatively expanded but i'm not pushing the heel part all the way down until its taut because i'm afraid it will stretch out the heel. are shoe trees ineffective unless they're completely tensed against the shoe from heel to toe?

and for anyone who wants to buy cedar shoe trees, check nordstrom rack, they go for 12-15 dollars
