Just copped a pair of the Wolverine 1000 Miles. What products, if any, should I use for maintainence/care?

I'm going to be starting an engineering internship soon, and I'm not sure what kind of shoes to wear. I asked HR what most of the engineers wear, and they said jeans and button-ups/polos, so I figured I could just wear some dark raws or chinos with some OCBDs most days, but I dunno about the footwear.

I figure most of the engineers will either be wearing Western style boots (it's in Texas) or ugly "casual" dress shoes (think borderline sneaker-dress hybrids). I think something like AE Strands may be too formal for the things others are wearing, so I was thinking of something like 1000 miles, but I'm just not sure.

Thoughts and alternate shoe ideas are appreciated.
