I'm a metalhead, and I dress the part, and I can tell you there is nothing metal about the bottom left in OP's pic. I wish my phone wasn't broken so I could post a photo of what I look like on an average day. I actually get a lot of compliments on my "style".

Since I can't post a pic I'll just sum it up.

SUMMER GEAR:
1. black shirt, may or may not be a band shirt
2. black leather "biker" vest
3. tight fitting black denim jeans, not skinny, but more skinny than baggy, just a LITTLE loose for comfort.
4. crocodile skin belt, utility belt for carrying things, or leather belt with a buckle, I own a few belt buckles.
5. my old "combat" boots I use for work, my biker boots with eagles on the side, or just some random black high tops.

WINTER GEAR (pic related)
1. Leather jacket
2. hooded thermal and long johns under my shirt and pants to keep warm
3. same shirts
4. same pants
5. same belts
6. same boots/shoes

and yes I have long hair, but it's well kept and doesn't look like greasy virgin tier trash. I think in the end it all comes down to the person wearing the stuff, though I'll grant that everything in OP's pic is cringe-worthy.
