5'6" is not tall for a woman, it is maybe a hair above average but that does not mean tall, just close to average. I'm 5'10" and I'm tall but I'm not even the tallest girl in my friend circle. If anything I'd like to be an extra inch for a more model-esque look. I make it at current height, but only barely.

This is probably a sign of good health, actually. A good period means you're healthy enough to procreate, a rarity when you're that thin. As annoying as periods are, it's (unfortunately) a good thing.

Body dysmorphia, if you had retained water you would've been heavier too.
Muscle loss MIGHT make you feel a little flabbier, but you're still overall smaller. Could try upping your protein for maximum muscle retention.
