Got these recently as my first pair of shoes in the boot area. I want to get some actual boots in future.

I bought a set of these boots recently but they store only had them half a size up from what normally wear

When I walk in them I feel my heel going up a minute but just about noticeable amount. Is this because they're ever so slightly too big or are chukka boots normally kind of loose at the back? Given their shape I thought they might just fit like that generally.
