>What are those brown boots on the right? The look really nice
Viberg, it's the leather. That is a very nice batch of pull up leather. I believe that the blue in this pic is suede but they also do some reverso. Same leather on the right and left but one pair has toe caps.

I hope nobody is fooled by the RW spam in this thread. Their leather is in house and now they make their own crepe soles instead of Vibram. Check what Nick of Nick's Boots and what the guy from Rider have to say about boots in general and RW specifically. RW are a fine average boot but not a premium product. They are like Clarks. Which is alright.

Lots of people have Iron Rangers and Mocs. That is fine. On that level of boot Wolverine are a step up as far as the leather goes and how they're made. You know it is Horween tanned. You can feel that is infused and a true premium leather. It is not on the same level as what you see in that pick with the Viberg boots. It doesn't need to be though.

Chromexel is great leather. You can customize 1000 Miles and get them in Chromexel, even Gold Chromexel. You can even get them in that Horween veg tan style leather. Their Evans 1000 Miles are a solid step up from Red Wings.

The real proof is in trying them on yourself. Each boot maker has their own lasts and each of you has your own foot shape(s). For a really great pair of classic boots with premium components and construction 1000 Miles are hard to beat.

Just like Wolverine, Viberg still makes actual workboots. If you know that you want something very specific beyond the standard then you get into Alden, Viberg and all the rest. Like if you want the absolutely most dynamic pull up leather in a light weight classic service boot style you'd look to Viberg and the pic I posted before.

Even keeping in mind diminishing returns those 1000 Mile Evans boots are at the crest of getting the best you can invest in without falling off into splitting hairs and cork sniffing.
