it's that, or be at mercy of an indifferent/ignorant boomer endocrinologist who barely knows what a tranny is. I've heard so many horror stories of endos prescribing people literally useless drugs or massively under dosing them that I don't want to bother with them. Also you may have to sit through a huge waitlist before you can get HRT, which may cause you to irreversiably masculinize before then. HRT can't undo bone growth/the creation of new hair follicles. Some people get injections at good doses on the official route though so it's not all bad.
