does anyone have good tips for keeping your sneakers fresh? avoiding color loss, maybe even preventing scratches and rips

any good tips on maintaining shoes, specifically sneakers? I got my eyes on a pair of white gray Nike Air Max, but i'm afraid they will get dirty in no time.

so maintaining color, avoiding scratches ect and maybe even preventing tears and rips
