i don't dislike the sneakers of say, lanvin, or ysl, but then you have common projects doing something pretty similar and sometimes better for less money, for example. they're using the same soles and very similar lasts. rick has something fairly unique, and while some have riffed something new off the idea (the dbss kicks, the augusta kicks), i don't think there's any real substitute for a geo or a ramone boot.
