Be careful with pallets. Unless you want to go full unfinished wood and linen everywhere, it might end up looking really out of place. If you have a box spring (I can't tell from the photo), just get legs and maybe a headboard. Cover everything with a white cotton/linen bed skirt, and you'll still have storage space. Since you have white baseboards/framing, maybe get some art/posters/printed shit in plain white frames, or have accent furniture in white. Get some wall art regardless. Since it's a small room, try not to clutter it with stuff. I love your wall colour btw. My dining room is a really light blue.

That should be alright then. I also forgot about large maps being an option as well. There's an antique store near me that has a pile of old maps, I need to hit it up sometime to round out my office wall.

I just bought a house myself, so I'm in a similar boat, but I really lack the cash to fully outfit the place quickly, and in a way I'll like. I'm slowly building up furniture and decor, and going from there.

Oh, and I didn't say it before, but thanks for uploading the Popeye scans. I wanted to buy that mag a while back, but I just plain forgot about it.
