I was using it in the sense of the memories being soaked in emotional weight. Alluding to liquid, weighing something down. In this case the liquid, the wine, was emotional memory.

You needn't always use words how the dictionary tells you, you know. There's a lot of fun to be had playing around with things like this. So what if you make a mistake here or there? So what if you change contexts, or make odd allusions, or stretch and warp meaning?

Really though - Who cares? I'm just writing from the heart and the hip. I'm not here to impress you, or impress anyone else. I'm just here being me, sharing the things I love. I don't come here to pretend, I come here to share and to learn.

What I don't come here to do is attempt to elevate myself by making cheap digs at other people who are only trying their best, only proceeding with hope and good intentions.
