Most fascist fashion is related to the military because the people that where fascist where living under obligatory conscription or active wars, it's designed to be familiar to the group of friends you had under the obligatory conscription.
You don't see that many people wearing military uniforms anymore, that's why it looks weird, in the past the military clothes where the highest quality of clothing the poorest people could get, so it was something you wanted to get, it was /fa/ in it's time.
