you gotta realize there are different camps on /fa/, sneakerheads who hype louder and rarified collabs; designer-fuckboys who think everyone should be 'upgrading' to memeshoes like ramones or mmm gats. they're invested in going beyond 'populist' shoes that weren't designed or intended with any fashion context. but like docs, they're definitely worn in them. a lot of very stylish people in the real world too, they're both still common in shoots. and kids here wearing normcore/palewave rep them, as well as, aforementioned skaters.

imo there's something very appealing in owning those kinds of items. they have a long cultural history to them. some people want to differentiate themselves by wearing reinterpretations or unique colorways, but I think it ignores both the casualness of the classic pieces as well as the evocative weight they have.

beserk is big here on 4chan. mostly i think because /v/ and /pol/ love it. i've never really seen it outside of here but I imagine it's popular on some forums or something.
