It's not meant to be any place specific. I think each quarter was taken from a different woodcut of a different city. I know the church is Florence or something along those lines.

Lets take the back as an example since it was all by the same artist. If it were all one solid piece from the beginning, it would have taken multiple sessions, but that would have been it. As it is it was made up over three to four years with virtually no overarching plan. That's the nature of making a sleeve etc in a style you like.
