I’ve been into this aesthetic for a few years, its kinda comforting to voluntarily erase yourself and do away with all the peacocking. Functional pieces, utilitarian quality, and unassuming looks are the only guidelines you have to follow. I’ve seen it called “Gray Man” since the objective is to become invisible amungst the crowd. I used to thrift some old school outdoors/east coast academic clothes (you don’t want your outfit to be brand new and stand out) and remove any labels or branding I could see. Sure, it’s larpy, but who cares? Nowadays, feds pretty much dress in normie brands however, so you should try to shop like you had an expense accounts. Imagine you had no taste and the gov picked up the tab and you should be all set.
Here’s a few more info if you don’t mind the whole survivalist retardation : https://www.thebugoutbagguide.com/gray-man-theory/
