can someone give me a guide on how to match colors as far as pants, shoes and tops go?
im retarded and think everything i put together looks bad when it comes to colors

I don't have information on the US, but I imagine drinking has shrunk here too.

I think some of this is social. It's just not as cool now to be drunk. Having a drink or two is okay, but socially being actually drunk is a faux pas in most circles (maybe outside of college kids, although it's been a while since I was in college so maybe it is changing there too).
