can we get a comfy-japanese-core thread going? there's something unbelievably fashionable about this laid back, messy haired style. not trying to look like some loser white kid but just wondering how I can incorporate this look into simple fits.

It's called congruence.
Your fits need to have some coherence with the life you live. ex : If you are a shy white-collar working in an office and who plays tennis as a hobby, seeing you in full rick during the weekend would seem weird and unnatural and out of place.

You can wear avant-garde shit, but make sure it fits with your lifestyle.

IMO the people that look best in rick/yohji/ann D are artists, musicians, designers
