I had that problem too really bad at the beginning of the year after I washed with shampoo and got a haircut. I thought it was the cold weather but maybe it just needed to get reaccustomed to no poo (it was also overly greasy) or grow out longer, or maybe a bit of both. Anyway it went back to normal after a while and I don't see any flakes whatsoever now
