Jesus, the directions you people are going in... there wasn't generally 1 style at this time and clothing was separated by musical genres just as it is now.

Pop punk/skater look was very much in the late 90's/early 2000's taking over the earlier grunge movement in the alternative music world. Movies such as American pie played on this genre.

It ran alongside Nu-metal acts around the same time, LImp Bizkit, KoRn, Coal Chamber, papa Roach and so on.

Those genres were also in arguments over the boyband era also running at this time. BSB are fags, OK.

Emo certainly was around in the very early 2000's, not 2007+ as has been suggested here. That's way too late for its rise. Remember myspace was around 2003.

Goth was also pretty popular during 2000 due to things such as Buffy and whole Vampire movie related things (Vampire high too) The Wicca movement reached its peak popularity at this time too also due to Buffy and Willow.

Is from the Dance/Euro dance movement of the late 90's to early 2000's. Think Darude - Sandstorm of course.

All those were musical genre inspired though and most normies just wore jeans and a t shirt or shirt.

Late 30's here who was part of most of these scenes, the bands, tours, clubs and shitty dial-up internet.

At least I am not bald yet, thank god.
