What are /wt/'s thoughts on the Seiko Astron and watches like them?

I never see anyone ever talk about them to the point where I don't even know what the generic name given to these types are, nor what the general opinion is about them. I figure that people immediately write them off because of the quartz movement.

I'm kinda tempted to add one to the collection but I'm not sure.
