Yeah, decent little entry mechanicals if you can get it dirt cheap but the movement sucks and power reserve is nearly nonexistent.

Unless you get it for under $50 I would pass. As other anon mentioned, it's got a mediocre at best movement. Power reserve is crap. It'll serve you well enough but you can do better for an entry level field watch. I still wear mine on the odd occasion, but it's about the worst watch in a mediocre collection.

The power reserve on those SNKs is pretty damn low. Their accuracy is mediocre at best even when operating on full reserve. That being said they are the quintessential next-to-no-budget entry level babby's first mechanical watch for the masses. They take a surprising amount of abuse and keep ticking. I've had mine for a long time and even had the rotor disconnect from the shaft. Opened it up, torqued it back on and was up and running again. Don't sweat the scratches, those watches look better after being well abused. Don't sweat the lack of power reserve, your experience is perfectly normal. If you want improvement, be prepared to spend more.
