like what >>13422403 said, since kids are in a state of growth it would be silly to buy them super expensive things and dress them up extravagantly.

i'd get my little ones probably things that can stretch over time with room, colorful sweaters and slacks because to a kid what matters most to them is playing and running around. i'm actually reminiscing on when i had that much energy as i'm writing this, tight restrictive clothes would've sucked.

once they get to the stage of caring about the clothes they wear, i'll buy them what they want as it'll be the start of them developing their own tastes with fashion. >>13422434 kind of strange what this anon said but i guess it's different with everybody, but i remember as early as kindergarten i enjoyed dressing up in disney merch.

in regards to what this anon said, in the end it doesn't matter what your child wears, it would actually be healthy to dress them up in whatever ways so they start to know what they do and don't like. but i'd also like to teach my child healthy habits. my dad for example was always a big proponent of tucking your shirt in, i was against it naturally as children like to disagree with their parents, but over time i just realized it did look better/was more functional. my mom always resented me wiping my hands on my pants.

TL;DR be nice to your kids, let them dress up however they please, introduce healthy habits (combing hair, tucking shirt in, etc.)
