Shy and girly? Shy is fairly easy, just wear oversized clothing that isn't revealing. For 'girly' you probably want something lacy/cute.

I'm thinking maybe going trad / larme or middle-aged japanese fashion? Just keep it simple, the less number of pieces you wear and ornamentation the better. Think simple with classic feminine clothing that hides your body.

Gothninja is miles better. There were some flamewars in 2012-13 dadcore vs gothninja. Gothninja won. They remained relevant and are still here.
Dadcore died as a passing basic bitch trend.

Those are the facts and what I remember. Fashion took its direction and everything turned out for the better.
