You really only have two options for lume if you want it to work more than a few hours. You either get tritium, which even after it's 12 year half life still glows, or you have electroluminescent which requires you to press a button, and drains you battery faster.
Also traditional lume suffered greatly depending on exposure to sunlight, and unless you're spending thousands you can expect it to be nearly worthless in ten years.

I don't even know if the GPQ is supposed to even be serviceable, let alone have vials replaced. Maybe on their higher end non-DoD contract watches.
