I do spend a great deal of time in coffee shops! The younger patrons typically wear more fashionable things that fit the season, whether Chacos, nike shoes, booties, or Common project style luxury sneakers or even drivers. The coffee shop in my neighborhood, one of the wealthiest in the country, sports lots of doctors, rentiers, and business types wearing things like black cap toes, whether Aldens or AE or better, and nicer bespoke options. So I don't really stick out for my age group.

It's the type of place where people greet me with a smile and introduce themselves. The local board members of whatever ask me if I'm donating to the zoo, symphony, etc. and if they saw me at the local country club for the latest event. This is part of being an adult.

People hear me tearing up their tile floors.
